About
Software developer with hands-on experience building features, fixing bugs and testing software for a commercial security product used by businesses to control access to their buildings.
I'm comfortable across the full stack, front end, back end and databases, and in quality assurance, from writing test cases to automated testing. Working both sides means I write code expecting it to be tested, and test code knowing how it was built.
Former Deputy Head Boy who enjoys teamwork, presenting and taking ownership of work. Off the keyboard: football, padel, cricket, golf and photography.

Client placement: Impro Technologies
via Kaleidocode Pivot
- Develop and test PRIMO, Impro's software that businesses use to manage who can enter their buildings and when
- Built two new reports for the product, working on both the user interface and the server side
- Fixed bugs including incorrect figures on an analytics screen, a check that allowed duplicate names, and broken search, page navigation and menus
- Found the root cause of a data problem that displayed the wrong names on five new reports
- Wrote unit tests and Cypress end-to-end tests to catch problems before release
- Moved 118 manual test cases into Jira and reported defects found during testing
- Installed, configured and tested door controllers and card readers
